Job Title: Electrical EngineerOverview: We are looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in low voltage, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), fire protection, and other electrical system layout work. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electrical systems.Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, focusing on low voltage, MEP, and fire protection.Create detailed electrical drawings, plans, and layouts using industry-standard software.Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support design decisions.Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.Perform calculations and analysis to ensure the safety and efficiency of electrical systems.Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project implementation and commissioning.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on low voltage, MEP, and fire protection systems.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP.Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Preferred Skills:Experience with energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques.Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining it.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00•Medical, dental & vision •Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital •401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available •Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) •Short and long-term disability •Health Spending Account (HSA) •Transportation benefits •Employee Assistance Program •Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave)Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Kansas City,MO.Application DeadlineThis position will be accepting applications until Dec 11, 2024.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
