IT Technician Manufacturing

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary

Reports to: IT Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Stellar Energy specializes in a wide range of engineering and manufacturing solutions within the energy sector including turbine inlet air chilling, central utility plants, district cooling, combined heat & power systems, thermal energy storage, inlet air heating, data center chilling, and inlet air chilling for LNG facilities. Summary Objective

The IT Administrator assesses, maintains, installs and configures multiple different hardware and software solutions and implementations. This also includes troubleshooting server and PC level issues, and can support networking, VOIP and wireless technologies.

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshooting: Inbound communication from users reporting software and hardware issues, or inquiring how to use specific applications, email, or operating systems. General break/fix issues.
  • Hardware and Software: Procuring, maintaining and administering computers and office equipment, as well as corporate software systems.
  • Research: Ability to evaluate software and hardware solutions and sharing recommendation for management review.
  • Documentation: Writes or revises user training materials, KB articles or other IT documentation.
  • Works as reliable team member and can research problems and find solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in cloud platforms (i.e. Entra, M365, AWS) and deployment experience.
  • Knowledgeable with server-level Operating Systems, virtual hosting and networking
  • Capable of developing and implementing processes, policies and project management abilities.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Location

This position will work out of our Manufacturing Facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely as WFH.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, plotters, etc and may require wearing PPE as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional after hours or weekend work.

Travel
Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary.

Required Education and Experience.

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
  • Three or more years of experience working in IT operations.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies and platforms.

Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
