Job Title: Controls Engineer

About Us: Join our Ride and Show Control Team as a Controls Software Engineer, where you'll develop innovative control systems for ride and show motion applications to enhance the guest experience. We are seeking a talented engineer to contribute to the development of control systems for rides, transportation, and entertainment.
Job Summary: As a Controls Engineer, you will work on electrical and electronic systems that provide motion control for ride vehicles and animation. You should have expertise in software development across multiple languages for industrial controls or entertainment systems. You will work both independently and as part of a project team, reporting to the Team Leader, Ride Controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop software design documents for various industrial control-based platforms and projects.
Create safety analysis documents for safety-critical applications.
Develop and maintain software code for Rockwell, Siemens, and Beckhoff PLCs.
Develop and maintain C/C++ code on industrial embedded controllers.
Develop and maintain software for industrial Graphical User Interfaces.
Develop and perform control system acceptance test plans.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in industrial controls or the entertainment ride and show industry.
Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++.
Experience with safety-related control systems.
Experience in software development planning and documentation.
Familiarity with version control and collaboration software tools.
Knowledge of industrial network protocols such as AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP, and Ethernet IP.
Experience with software testing and commissioning.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing risk assessments and designs using IEC/ISO functional safety standards.
Proficiency with IEC - 61131 using Ladder Diagram and Structured Text.
Experience in safety control system design using safety PLCs and safety devices.
Knowledge of industrial control system hardware and system architecture.
Knowledge of I/O and Supervisory Network systems.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 Hours) - ONSITE Position, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
