PURPOSE:

Ensure supplier product compliance to specifications in support of both the Automotive and the Medical Business Units. Perform inspections upon each receipt of raw materials to ensure compliance prior to production use. This position reports directly to the Medical Quality Manager, but also support the Automotive Quality Manager.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Perform quality inspections (per drawings, specifications, and control plans) upon all materials purchased by PMC to support our manufacturing operations. Additional product inspection/ audits may be performed based upon quality needs. Generate Control Plans and Inspection Procedures for all new materials that PMC purchases to support our manufacturing operations. Manage and track the throughput of incoming inspections to ensure operations support. This position must ensure that inspections are prioritized based upon customer needs and production scheduling. Provide feedback to the Supplier Quality Engineer on supplier performance and issues that are noted. Participate in Customer and Third-Party Audits, as needed. Perform additional duties, as necessary, that contribute to the overall efficiency of the company. Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL SKILLS:

High School diploma, or equivalent Familiarity with industry-specific standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100 for aerospace, or FDA regulations for medical devices) is a plus. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection, including knowledge of performing part inspections is desirable, manufacturing, or similar role. Knowledge of material specifications and industry-specific quality standards. Strong attention to detail to identify product quality, supplier document, and control plan inconsistencies. Ability to document inspection findings clearly and concisely. Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and quality engineers. Self-directed and motivated. Must be able to function well in a Team environment Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and QCBD GD&T and Print Reading ability is a plus
