Job Description

Overview:

Under the direction of the logistic business coordinators. Operator is responsible for unloading pallets from inbound trucks, segregating product for quality inspection and rack product in an organize fashion following the FIFO (first in first out) method. Operator will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by pre-staging and loading trucks; assuring product is within quality standards, in good presentation conditions and properly secured on the truck. In addition, Operator is responsible for accurately reporting all transactions performed on a daily basis, this includes product movements, partial generated, inventory management in racks, and order fulfilment when loading. Shipping is a Standup Forklift Position that may require standing up to 2+ hours continuous.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Perform all duties in a safe manner
• Must be able to drive a forklift in a safe, efficient, and competent manner
• Must be able to understand RF Scanners
• Has responsibility for making sure that the warehouse is in prime condition and ready for everyday operations
• Operator is not limited to cleaning and sweeping the facility upon request
• Accurately update rack locations for all product put away while following FIFO (first in, first out) method
• Must be able to rack product in 3 level racking system
• Accurately account for all product when receiving inbounds (notification is required for all discrepancies encountered)
• Assure product requiring quality inspection at inbounds is segregated and located to QC area (Per item/Per lot basis)
• Must fulfill orders by loading accurate counts and process partials when needed
• Must fulfill orders by loading product within company standards (no broken and/or damaged product)
• Required to segregate and request quality inspection for any product that exceeds trigger days prior to loading
• Perform truck inspections and accurately fill out inbound/outbound truck inspection forms
• Required to “stop work” when identifying any safety and/or food safety concerns
• Be required to fulfill orders in the RF scanners (process splits, tasks, mod-cancel)
• Perform and verify inventory cycle counts
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs from time-to-time
• Other related duties

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience operating a standup forklift / heavy machinery
• Must have 2 year experience in warehouse environment
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift in confined areas with high levels of traffic
• Must be able to do field level maintenance of forklift
• Must be willing and able to perform other general repair, maintenance and loading tasks as will be assigned from time to time due to workload level
• Must be able to stack palletized commodities safely
• Must be able to rack up to 3 levels
• Have good math skills
• Be able to handle multi-tasks
• Be detail oriented
• Have good communication skills
• Be able to work well with others
