We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our Accounting Administrative Specialist role.
The Accounting Administrative Specialist is responsible for ensuring all codes and data in the various accounting files are relevant and up-to-date in order to provide accurate database structures for financial and ancillary reporting.
What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:
• Adheres to all policies, procedures, and values of Snider Fleet Solutions
• Add, delete, and/or modify general ledger codes
• Maintain an accurate chart of accounts
• Update financial report formats
• Ensure “add-on” financial software is current with all necessary general ledger codes and coding string
• Assist the AP Manager with updating the AP Master Vendor File and setting up new vendors
• Assist the Sales Tax Accountant with maintaining tax codes/rates within the ERP
• Facilitate the achievement of department objectives and controls to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Administer ancillary accounting programs such as AP Invoice Automation, P Card, and Fuel Card
• Other projects as necessary
This position is based at the company’s corporate office. The majority of this position will consist of normal office tasks and interaction amongst peers and Snider branches. Overnight and out of market travel to other Snider locations and customers is less than 25%. When traveling to Snider locations, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts/equipment, fumes, or airborne particles, and the noise level is usually moderate to high.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Education or Experience:
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Accounting, Financial Statements, and GAAP
