Job Description
Atlantic Health System is seeking a CDL Driver for Atlantic Ambulance in Livingston to cover full time night shifts.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Ensures day to day supply deliveries for Atlantic Health are completed in a timely and professional manner. Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule and available for overtime, special deliveries and holidays as needed by the department. Must demonstrate good customer service skills, and respect to all employees/customers, including handling grievances professionally. Must be in uniform, including a visible ID badge, key peg and maintain a professional appearance. All vehicles are to be cleaned inside and out daily, fueled after each shift. Must have the ability to lift at least 50lbs. Swipe in and out on time. Must complete tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Adheres to all AHS and AMH policies and Procedures. Completes all required training and maintains all required certifications and licenses. Must attend at least 50% of all transportation staff meetings.

Atlantic Mobile Health is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing the finest air and ground medical transportation services. We offer immediate and emergent response to municipalities and facilities, as well as non-emergency transportation for patients who need stretcher transportation. The MICU is an emergency response unit that augments the basic life-support therapies provided by local first aid squads and fire departments. Our Air and Ground teams provide some of the most advanced care available for scene emergencies and interfacility transport for our most complex and critical patients. The Patient Transfer Center offers a time-saving service for doctors and staff at any hospital who wish to consult with a specialist or initiate a patient transfer into any Atlantic Health Medical Center. The Atlantic Training Center is one of New Jersey's largest providers of emergency medical education, which also offers CPR and First Aid training to community groups, businesses, and the general public.

- Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule and provide availability for special events and holidays as needed by the department.
- Maintain assigned uniform and/or adhere to department dress code, including visible AHS ID badge, and maintenance of professional appearance.
- Assure assigned vehicle(s) is cleaned daily, interior and exterior; fuel vehicle after each shift; check all vehicle equipment at beginning of shift and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
- Complete vehicle inspection daily, including fluid checks, and document on vehicle-specific check sheet.
- Operate AMH vehicles in a safe and courteous manner at all times; capable of driving in all weather conditions.
- Document daily activity, including passengers logs and route logs, as needed.
- Able to be discreet when dealing with sensitive / confidential information.
- Attend at least 50% of department meetings.
- Work effectively and relate well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and internal and external customers. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or GED required
Minimum Experience:
- 3+ years CDL driving experience preferred
Licenses/Certification:
- Valid NJ CDL (Class B with airbrakes) with unrestricted record required
- Current/valid DOT physical; completes random DOT required drug and alcohol testing as required
