We are hiring on behalf of our direct client, a leading company in the building materials manufacturing industry, seeking an experienced and driven Manufacturing Director. This full-time, direct-hire position is hybrid, with flexibility for remote work and periodic on-site visits to plants. The role also requires occasional travel to facilities in New Mexico (NM) and Alabama (AL) as needed. Relocation assistance is available, and compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes and high-quality output.
- Implement and maintain Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement across production lines.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, focusing on cost optimization and resource efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics, identifying areas for improvement in productivity, quality, and safety.
- Oversee quality management systems to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, engineering, and leadership, to align manufacturing goals with organizational objectives.
- Drive strategies to improve production graphs, enhance operational efficiency, and meet revenue targets.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to plant managers and teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations across plant operations.
- Travel to NM and AL plants as needed to assess operations, support teams, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Expertise in Lean Six Sigma principles, quality management, and process optimization.
- Proven track record in production planning, revenue management, and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and operational software tools.
- Willingness to travel to NM and AL plants and other required sites.
- Hybrid, with remote work flexibility and on-site visits as required.
- Periodic travel to plants in New Mexico and Alabama as necessary.
- Available for candidates willing to relocate.
