Brand Marketing Manager

Strava, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199

Strava is the leading digital community for active people with more than 125 million athletes in over 190 countries. The platform offers a holistic view of your active lifestyle, no matter where you live, which sport you love, or what device you use. Everyone belongs on Strava when they are pursuing an active life. As a Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll work closely with our Group Lead, Brand Marketing & Strategy to drive awareness of Strava and bring the Strava brand to life for active people across the globe. You will seek out opportunities to increase Strava's visibility via brand partnerships with some of the world's leading brands in fashion, food, and entertainment. You are excited to concept and pitch new ideas that can insert Strava into culture and amplify our brand story across different marketing channels such as social, paid media, retail, and events. You will also help bring the Strava app experience to life in the physical world through branded swag and breakthrough brand awareness events across the United States. Travel will be required as part of this role. Events include, but are not limited to, group runs, cheer zones at marathons, experiential activations at cultural events, and new ideas you've yet to uncover that you'll bring to the team. Outside of your core responsibilities, you’ll assist the Group Lead, Brand Marketing & Strategy on other exciting brand awareness marketing efforts. We are a small team, where a bias for action is a must. This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

Think creatively. You love marketing because you can solve real problems through creative thinking, and while you understand marketing fundamentals, you’re in your element most when you’re pushing boundaries. Like working with external partners and can effectively influence their decision-making: you’ll represent Strava as a key point of contact to external brand partners and will look for opportunities that will increase Strava’s visibility in a partnership. Are connected in culture. You’re inherently curious about culture and have a keen sense for connecting marketing strategies to the world around you. Bonus points for fitness culture, but not required. You enjoy travel, meeting new people, and are okay working events that often require work outside of normal office hours. You will be successful here by:

Measuring impact: You are able to identify, measure, and report on key success metrics to guide future partnership strategies. Collaborating at the highest level with cross-functional teams. You’ll be working closely with our brand partnerships team, our social team, our creative team, and our growth marketing team. Having a bias for action: No job is too small for you. We need a doer in this role who is ready to roll up their sleeves. Writing inspired creative briefs: You know how to write a single-minded creative brief that inspires great creative work. We’re excited about you because:

You have a bachelor’s degree. You have 5+ years of professional experience in marketing. You have experience bringing to life multi-channel marketing partnerships with significant consumer impact. You have experience planning dynamic and engaging brand awareness events on budget and on time. You have impactful verbal and written communication skills: ability to ask probing questions, read the room, and adjust communications approach based on the audience and situation. You have excellent project management skills. About Strava
