Staff SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote attendance and overall brand growth for Lion Athletics. Position responsibilities also include the development of promotional concepts, drafting of game scripts, and overseeing home game presentations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop marketing plans for all 14 sports. Create and implement strategic fan engagement initiatives. Draft game scripts and oversee home game presentations. Develop strategies and initiatives to increase attendance and ticket revenue for all home athletics contexts. Establish relationships with campus and communities in the Northeast Texas region to promote Lion Athletics. Enhance ticket revenue through group ticketing strategies and initiatives. Provide leadership in expanding the Lion Athletics brand through print and electronic media, advertising, web content, community partners, and social media platforms. Assist in the fulfillment of sponsorship elements in partnership with Taymar Sales U. Recruit, train, and mentor student workers for fan engagement initiatives. Provide direction to athletics spirit groups (e.g., cheer, dance, mascot) and serve as primary liaison to band. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education:

Bachelor's degree Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Four (4) years of relevant experience in sports marketing and/or game presentation. Ability To:

Ability to work nights and weekends on a regular and recurring basis. PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree; Experience working in a Division I athletics department.
