Job Overview The Associate Director, Field Medical and Scientific Affairs will be responsible for integrating scientific expertise with brand strategies to ensure successful implementation of the Company's commercial and emerging product portfolio. This position leads, directs, coordinates, and supports the activities of the Field Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) within the specified region to achieve clinical, strategic, and business objectives. Job Duties and Responsibilities Accountable for the field-based medical strategy and responsible for the training, deployment, direction, and execution of the Field MSL organization's goals and objectives. Lead, manage, and mentor the Field MSLs to ensure team effectiveness while fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and innovation. Monitor the Field Team’s dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding the Company's pipeline and marketed products. Oversee Key Opinion Leaders engagement opportunities and cultivate scientific relationships. Lead the development of a customer-centric strategic regional engagement plan. Ensure appropriate documentation of HCP interactions in the CRM and responses to unsolicited requests. Collect, summarize, and disseminate key insights to internal stakeholders. Participate in the identification and implementation of systems supporting department needs. Mentor, coach, and evaluate the performance of MSLs. Supervise territory plan development regionally and clinical positioning of designated products. Provide clinical resources for programs supporting commercial training and marketing efforts. Maintain business and clinical knowledge of designated therapeutic area. Ensure adequate communications and interaction across cross-functional counterparts. Manage team adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines. Partner with cross-functional team members to align medical perspectives with commercial strategies. Provide consistent, timely, and accurate performance feedback. Actively support regional field teams and promote collaboration. Other duties as assigned. Key Core Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and deliver excellent work in a fast-paced environment. Develop and maintain significant contacts across SMPA. High degree of professionalism and ability to work with limited direction. Problem solver with excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel). Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly. Proven experience handling confidential information. Education and Experience Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, or PhD) strongly preferred. Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience, including pharmaceutical field-based experience. Knowledge of oncology clinical and therapeutic issues. Patient care clinical experience in oncology and/or hematology preferred. Solid understanding of drug and life-cycle development. Ability to work effectively with key decision makers. Leadership skills and experience managing a large group. Willingness to travel 50% or greater. The base salary range for this role is $166,160 to $207,700, with additional benefits including merit-based salary increases, 401(k) plan, and unlimited paid time off.
