MindgruveMacarta is seeking an experienced Organic Social Director to lead our social media teams, drive brand growth, and foster meaningful community engagement. In this leadership role, you will oversee the development and execution of organic social strategies while leveraging graphic design and content creation skills, including video production, to bring the brand to life. What You'll Do Here:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and oversee the execution of a comprehensive organic social media strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth. Collaborate with marketing, content, and creative teams to ensure social campaigns align with broader marketing initiatives. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging social media platforms and trends to keep the brand innovative and relevant.
Content Creation & Design:
Lead the ideation and creation of engaging, high-quality visual and video content tailored to platform-specific audiences on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and X. Use graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) to create visually compelling content. Oversee the production of dynamic assets, including carousels, infographics, animations, and short-form videos, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and content creators to generate multimedia content.
Community Building & Engagement:
Cultivate and manage online communities, fostering meaningful interactions and ensuring positive brand sentiment. Monitor social conversations and trends to proactively engage with audiences and amplify user-generated content.
Performance Analysis:
Analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts and inform strategy adjustments. Provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting campaign successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Team Leadership:
Build, manage, and mentor a team of social media specialists, graphic designers, and video editors. Partner with cross-functional teams, including paid media and PR, to ensure alignment across channels.
We Need a Person With:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of growing social media audiences and driving engagement. Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and After Effects. Video production and editing experience using tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software. Deep understanding of organic social media best practices, algorithms, and platform-specific nuances. Experience managing a team and collaborating across departments. Strong analytical skills with experience using social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics). Creative mindset with an ability to think both strategically and tactically. Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting strategies and performance results to stakeholders. Knowledge of influencer marketing and UGC strategies is a plus.
