Snapshot of the Role: As a Learning Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality curriculums and learning experiences that will both educate and entertain MasterClass members. You will work closely with external clients and users to understand their learning goals, content requirements, and learner needs, transforming this information into innovative, learner-centered, and premium course experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about instructional design and client collaboration, with the chance to shape impactful learning journeys. What You Will Do: Lead end-to-end course development in collaboration with internal and external partners Conduct desk research and user research to inform class curriculum, course requirements, learner objectives/outcomes, and target audience Analyze learner data and feedback to refine learning experiences and improve course effectiveness Provide expert implementation of instructional strategies, course design best practices, and learning technologies to maximize course effectiveness Create high-quality instructional materials, including but not limited to: learning modules, assessments, supplementary learning materials, etc. Manage feedback and revisions on all deliverables, ensuring internal and external stakeholder expectations and standards are met Coordinate with internal teams (designers, product managers, insights, video production, marketing, etc.) to ensure seamless course delivery Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or course creation, ideally with experience in creating courses in collaboration with external partners Proven track record of designing and delivering digital learning experiences across a variety of asset types (e.g. video, written articles, assessments, interactive experiences, etc.) Experience working with external stakeholders, clients, or subject matter experts to create educational programs. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and learner-centered design. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Please include your portfolio with any relevant work samples Contract Role with Deliverable-Based Compensation : This is a contract position, with compensation tied to specific project deliverables.
The displayed pay range reflects the average hourly rate associated with this role .
Additional details regarding deliverables, timelines, and compensation will be provided during the interview process. The duration of the project is an estimated 6-month term.
