General Summary:

The Warehouse Operator will operate a gas or electric forklift on the grounds while adhering to safety procedures. Delivers materials to each warehouse station as directed, stacks materials in storage areas and loads/unloads trucks for inbound or outbound goods.


Essential Tasks:

  • Operate gas or electric forklift on the grounds.
  • Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Check incoming materials for shortages or damaged materials.
  • Follows all safety procedures.
  • Deliver materials to work areas as directed; stacks materials in storage areas in and out of racks.
  • Operate palletizer equipment and use computer systems for production and loading.
  • Perform cycle counts on materials and ingredients.
  • Perform cycle counts on finished goods.
  • Attend staff and group meetings as required.
  • Pull pallets and place them accordingly to be able to walk around them and check for any damage.
  • Organizes pallets for pickups and organizes bins for pickups by designated groups.
  • Ensure pallets and products are reviewed for damage; change if damaged.
  • Pull product and load trucks as needed.
  • Ensure work area is clean and organized before leaving premises.
  • Sets up and breaks down all areas for volunteer groups and special events.
  • Follow First In First Out (FIFO) policies and procedures and ensure product is stacked accordingly.
  • All paperwork must be in order and accurate (ex: shipping documents, receipts, cycle counts, holds, etc.).
  • Assisting with daily temperature checks on trucks, refrigerators and freezers
  • Coordinates forklift and electric pallet jack monthly maintenance service calls and scheduling as approved from Supervisor.
  • Daily machinery inspections.
  • Daily cleaning supplies and equipment is readily available daily for all warehouse staff.
  • Coordinates disposal of trash in proper containers separating trash from cardboard.
  • Weekly pressure washing of all food bins for distribution and pantry making sure everything is sterilized and properly sanitized.
  • Ensures that all warehouse tools and supplies are accounted for
  • Assists in coordinating dates and times for propane deliveries/fill ups as approved by supervisor.
  • Takes responsibility for daily warehouse workspace cleanliness sweeping, mopping, debris, etc.
  • Contributes with all the extra daily tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Support with all Mo track activities clean up and set up.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Certification required.
  • Demonstrates ability to understand inventory control, and the ability to learn and implement database software.
  • Ability to calculate items incoming and outgoing on the floor.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surface.
  • Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, climb and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties.
