The opportunity
GOODS INWARDS/OUTWARDS
- Recording incoming goods
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Picking and packing
- Quality control on goods receipt and dispatch
INSEPCTION, TEST & REPAIR
- Maintain correct de-hire process through GDR
- Maintain, test and clean all running gear and cases.
- Inspect, clean and disassemble instruments.
- Service and repair of other on-hire equipment
- Warehouse and yard upkeep
- Warehouse equipment upkeep.
- Oversee planned maintenance schedule
STOCK CONTROL
- Maintaining stock levels
- Ensure stock checks are undertaken
- Coordinate warehouse layout and space utilization under direction from the Area Manager and Regional Supply Chain Manager
LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE
- Shares and cascades the IMDEX vision, strategy and objectives to own team.
- Ensures staff are engaged and competent to perform their tasks and compliant with all Group policies, procedures and regional regulations.
- Raises difficult issues to ensure that they are addressed and leads team members to follow through on difficult actions or initiatives.
- Willingly passes on skills, shares job knowledge and trains others.
- Assigns appropriate support and resources to personnel to maximise success.
- Sets and provides clear direction and expectations. Effectively delegates and removes obstacles to get work done. Sets stretch goals and opportunities to drive higher performance.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Degree or higher qualification in business, manufacturing, supply chain or equivalent STEM area that focuses on process.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar or slightly junior role.
- Proven negotiation and influencing ability that has resulted in maxim beneficial outcome for the business
- Forklift ticket
- Computer literate, accurate data recording
- Good document control
Desirable
- Dangerous Goods license
- Experience implementing or using LEAN management practices.
- Experience in establishing and managing quality systems such as ISO9001 preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
