Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a Personal Lines Account Manager.

The Personal Lines Account Manager will be completely responsible for the service of a specified section of Personal Lines accounts and to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to insureds, sales representatives and insurance companies regarding those accounts.

Some of the day-to-day tasks for the Personal Lines Account Manager include:

  • Receive, document, and process all insured's requests for service and to submit this information to insurance companies
  • Receive and process all incoming mail
  • Process all renewals, endorsements, late payment notices, and cancellations by updating the computer system
  • Review all renewals, endorsements, late payment notices, and cancellations for accuracy
  • Enter all new business into the system and process the New Business after the company has issued the policy
  • Rate and quote all requests for new business
  • Review renewals for the increase and remarket if required
  • Keep producers informed of changes, claims, etc. with their clients
  • Issue all agency issued renewals no later than 30 days before expiration
  • Service new prospects and existing clients who visit the agency
  • Report all new business and lost business at the end of the month to the supervisor
  • Keep client information current on the computer
  • Assist Personal Lines Manager in maintaining an efficient Personal Lines department
  • Assist in training other employees at management's request
  • Follow all systems, procedures, and insurance company regulations
  • Perform special requests and projects at management's request
  • Maintain a predictable and reliable work schedule
  • Maintain current, sound documentation of all pertinent business-related activities and communications regarding clients' account while following agency procedures and guidelines for the same, to ensure protection and security of sensitive client data and to document reasons for all changes and actions taken that impact the clients' account.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Will work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff at all levels, and is dedicated to a respectful and collegial work environment
  • Must beself-starter and show a high degree of personal initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
  • P&C License required
  • At least 5+ years of personal line insurance experience required
  • Personal lines experience required with High Net Worth Clients
  • Familiar with various carrier websites
  • Experience with Applied EPIC agency management system preferred
  • Detail oriented, conscientious, self-motived
License/Certification:
  • Property and Casualty (P&C) Agent's license required
  • Previous experience using Applied EPIC preferred
  • Designations preferred - CIC, CISR, CPRM
