The Energy Procurement organization manages electric and gas procurement to ensure reliable supply (e.g. meet the gas and electric needs of our customers 24 hours a day), reduces customer costs and price risk, minimizes shareholder risk, and supports environmentally preferred resources. Settlements Information and Market Implementation (SIMI) is a team within Energy Policy Procurement (EPP) that is responsible for managing implementation of market initiatives and energy settlement systems and information. 2 critical components of the settlements process include the timely submittal of accurate Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) to the California ISO (CAISO) and ensuring all critical settlement systems are properly maintained.

Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) are the end result of a complex series of application processes and data flows, which are utilized by both the CAISO to produce invoices and settlements and by PG&E (and other utilities and energy providers) to reconcile their records with CAISO results. Position Summary This position will coordinate meter data operations and managing settlement systems performance and operation within the Market Data Ops & Reporting team of Settlement Information and Market Implementation team. This position will work closely with partner organizations within PG&E, as well as the CAISO. The position will provide but not limited to daily meter data, settlement system management and market settlement related analysis and validation. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and work location Oakland, CA based on business needs. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $32.69 to $49.03. Responsibilities: Collaborate with business partners to identify business requirements, develop functional specifications, and prioritize information technology work for IT. Support the meter setup process for new/converted/retiring resources in the electric supply portfolio. Submit accurate and timely meter data to CAISO in accordance to applicable tariff and protocols. Monitor Load and Generation meter data behavior to ensure accuracy prior to CAISO submission. Analyze and troubleshoot meter data flows from upstream through downstream application systems. Manages Demand Response meter data and performance data submission to CAISO. Assist in managing and maintaining system access and security setup Coordinate and support ISO Settlements Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and exercises, and annual CAISO SQMD audit. Provide ad-hoc Settlement Operation analytical and data request support as needed. System/Process Improvements:

Assist Senior Settlements Analyst on the settlements applications and enhancement of the databases that supports quality control and efficiency. Collaborate with other groups in Energy Procurement, Customer Care, and Information Technology (IT) organization as needed.

Qualifications Minimum: High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma Desired: 1-2 years of experience in business systems and data analysis. 1-2 years of experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Excel VBA. 1-2 years of experience providing first-line production support for business information systems designed to produce results in support of enterprise-wide operations. 1-2 years of experience with SQL queries 1-2 years of experience with Power BI Reporting Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, develop and maintain timelines Information technology savvy, MS Windows OS, Oracle DB, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Teradata, MS Access Ability to synthesize business issues to drive effective decision making Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Energy or regulatory environment work experience Excellent oral and written communications skills Advanced degree in accounting, business administration, economics, management information systems, mathematics, or statistics
