Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Finance and Accounting leader to guide and support the financial operations of our fast-growing consumer goods manufacturing company. Working closely with the Founder and CEO, this senior leadership role is crucial in driving financial strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting sustainable growth as we expand our presence across the US. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial management in the consumer goods space, a strong ability to lead teams, and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives. Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape business strategy, forecast future financial performance and optimize capital allocation. Provide insightful business performance analysis, identify key financial risks and opportunities, and drive data-informed decision-making. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Monitor financial performance against budget and prior periods, delivering timely insights on variances and corrective actions. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. Accounting Oversight:
Ensure timely and accurate accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial close processes. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Manage the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Cost Management & Profitability:
Manage cost accounting processes, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and inventory management. Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing costs, improve margins, and maximize profitability. Oversee product costing and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends and financial goals. Cash Flow Management & Treasury:
Ensure effective management of cash flow, working capital, and liquidity. Monitor accounts receivable and payable to maintain optimal cash flow and minimize risk. Work with banking partners to manage debt facilities, financing needs, and liquidity requirements. Compliance & Risk Management:
Maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations. Identify and manage financial risks, implementing proactive measures to mitigate exposure. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations. Team Leadership & Development:
Working with the CEO and Founders, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting and partner with other functions in the organization. Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the department. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of finance & accounting team members. Qualifications & Experience:
At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the consumer goods manufacturing industry is highly preferred, ideally with knowledge of selling into and working with grocery and retail. Strong understanding of financial modeling, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Proven experience managing teams and working cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and sales teams. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred. Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in implementing and operating within large ERP Systems (Netsuite, SAP, etc.) Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to influence and drive results. In-depth knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
