Senior CostPoint Accountant

This position is located at our Huntsville Business Office. We are adding a team member to support the daily functions of the business office supporting multiple organizations. The Sr. Costpoint Accountant will support functions such as billing, invoicing, accounts receivables, cash management, monthly closing, and financial reporting within the Deltek Costpoint accounting system.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage Costpoint configuration, org setup, and permissions
Perform all aspects of accounting processes as required
Review and maintain project reports
Document processes, procedures, and instruction documents
Assist and train other members of the business office staff on Costpoint processes
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve Costpoint related problems
Assist with annual audits
Performs monthly close activities including, but not limited to, GL reconciliation, journal entries, financial statements, processing revenue, and other reporting requirements
Calculate indirect rates, cost pools, and allocations in Costpoint
Qualifications
BS/BA or advanced degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
Minimum five (5) years experience in an accounting/business role with a Federal Government Contractor or Consultant
Minimum three (3) years experience using the Deltek Costpoint Accounting System
Must have knowledge of Government Contracting and DCAA guidelines
Proficient with Deltek Costpoint
Knowledge of indirect rates, rate pools, and allocations.
Experience with Time and Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and Cost-Reimbursable Government contracts including delivery based, milestone based, Time and materials, and recurring services FFP contracts
Strong Microsoft Office experience and skills with Excel reporting
Preferences:
Working knowledge of Costpoint Business Intelligence reporting system preferred
Multi-company accounting experience preferred

Ability to meet company, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
