Job Description
This role is ideal for a tech-savvy individual with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to learn. The lT Specialist will primarily serve as the technical backbone of our operations.providing comprehensive support for our technical team, particularly during on-site project challenges. The role requires the ability to master the operation of a wide range of AVl equipment and systems. Server and website maintenance are part of the job, most of the time wil be spent providing hands-on technical support, employee training, and innovative solutions tailored to business needs.
The candidate must be able to travel as needed. Also, to be flexible to work weekends and evenings if the situation arises.
Key Responsibilities:
1, Audio/Video/Lighting Equipment Expertise and Support:
• Quickly learn and master the operation of all AVL equipment in our inventory, including LED walls, lighting systems, and audio setups.
• Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to project teams, particularly for complex troubleshooting during live events or installations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, training manuals, and best practices for AVL equipment usage.
2, Technical Support for tech team:
• Serve as the primary IT resource for employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Offer foundational and advanced IT training to the tech team, enhancing their proficiency in using company systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions that optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
3, Server and Website Maintenance (10% of Role):
• Oversee the company’s server, ensuring secure access for all employees and regular data backups.
• Perform basic updates and ensure smooth operation of the company website.
4, Operational Efficiency and Innovation:
• Work closely with management to understand business needs and implement technology-driven solutions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and proactive problem-solving.
• Research and recommend new AVL and IT technologies to keep the company at the forefront of industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT support, with a focus on troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, particularly AVL systems.
- Familiarity with common IT systems (Windows Server, networking, basic website maintenance).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure scenarios like live events.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical team members.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in the AVL or event production industry.
- Familiarity with software and equipment such as Resolume, Q-SYS, Dante, and advanced LED video wall systems.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
