JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Business Analyst role will support discovery workshops with our business stakeholders and document technical specifications and designs in an Agile Environment. This role will also be responsible for requirements gathering, discovery, performing gap and data analysis and functioning as a key point of contact for our business stakeholders. The role will also be expected to handle complex issues across divisions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Business System Analysis and Administration:
Supports requirements gathering and discovery workshops with our business stakeholders.
Primary liaison with the business stakeholders and Product owner in assisting with the creation of epics and user stories for the product backlog.
Performs gap and data analysis in support of identifying improvement opportunities.
Supports Technical Leads and developers by providing functional clarification and setting expectations with team and client.
Documents requirements, creates specifications and/or wireframes, change requests, test cases, user guides, and strategy roadmaps.
Assists the Business Team with UAT testing.
Facilitate sprint grooming meetings with the product teams.
Create process/data flows to create a visual representation of requirements.
Participate in design sessions and create wireframes as and when needed.
Executes test cases and ensure overall quality of solution is a plus.
Participate with Product Owner and Product Grooming processes.
Able to perform proxy Product Owner duties
Ensure movement / success of all tasks owned by the team.
Ability to lead team of business analysts, including acting as a mentor.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology from an accredited university.
7 or more years of experience related to Business Analyst or Technical Analyst within an IT technology environment, required.
Experience working with Magento in an e-commerce environment is preferred but not required.
Microsoft Technologies, including SharePoint, Visio, preferred.
Technical understanding of web application development, mobile application development and deployment concepts.
Able to construct MySQL queries
Experience working with cross functional teams
Knowledge of the path to purchase and flow of data between systems in an ecommerce environment.
Experience in an Agile Environment (using Jira, Confluence).
Ability to work in a team matrix organizational structure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to solve problems, identify solutions, and appropriately escalate issues.
Excels at operating in a fast-paced technical environment.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience with desired systems and technologies.
Work Experience
7+ years of experience in business analysis
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong analytical skills to understand the goals and design appropriate solutions.
Understanding of software development lifecycle, as well as Agile software development methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment.
