About the Human Resources Manager:
We are looking for an early-stage startup professional to join our growing team! The Human Resources Manager will have an immediate impact in shaping a culture of compliance, fostering a high-performance work environment, driving employee engagement, and ensuring that we continue to attract, develop, and retain top-of-market talent.
The role will initially focus on compliance management as well as developing and executing our HR programs and policies across the employee lifecycle. The HR Manager focus specializes in creating, updating, and applying HR policies and firm guidelines. Ensures the guidelines adhere to standards and regulations. May educate newly hired employees on HR policies and procedures as well as counsel employees concerning work-related problems.
This role is a hybrid role, 4 days a week on-site. Work from home options are Tuesday or Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Operations: Manage HR aspects of the employee lifecycle, such as employee onboarding, HR programs and processes, offboarding, and compliance. Oversee daily workflow, including HRIS/Insperity administration, and records management. Own and optimize people systems and processes, including headcount HC reports and Org Charts. Maintains employee hardcopy files. Inputs employee personal data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database. Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc. Conducts new-hire orientations.
- Employee Engagement: Help implement a performance management system that supports employee development. Serve as point of contact for HR-related employee questions. Support and help resolve employee relations issues as they arise. Coach employees and managers through difficult conversations. May conduct employee exit interviews and tally general statistics including headcount tracking.
- Compensation & Benefits: Annual benefits reporting, running open enrollment, and supporting employees. May write job descriptions for job families and leveling exercises.
- Culture: Assist in designing and implementing practices, policies, and plans that will enhance the company's culture and promote our values of Collaboration, Accountability, and Passion. A natural gift for teaching and training, particularly as it relates to change management and educating employees about new processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas to automate and leverage technology to scale. Improve operational efficiencies and data-driven decision by implementing systems for streamlined HR administration and workforce analytics.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR/People Operations experience at high-growth startups, preferably seed, Series A, or Series B.
- Strong familiarity with HRIS platforms, including PEO environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products, Sharepoint, and Greenhouse Onboarding preferred.
- Operational expertise, proven track record of process improvement, documentation and systems integrations.
- Concrete examples of developing and executing comprehensive programs across the employee lifecycle.
- Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust in a remote-first workforce.
- Impressively strong analytical, organizational and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving needs of a high-growth company.
- Incredibly trustworthy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Bachelor's degree. Human Resources, Business or other related field preferred.

Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
