The Product Strategy team is looking to kick our growth engine to an even higher gear. Our team has the unique responsibility of helping the executive leadership team, Chief Product Officer, and product leadership teams with plans for the next wave of product bets. We are looking for a Director of Product Strategy to join our team to help build winning strategies with product leadership for the entire Salesforce portfolio. This position will report to the SVP of Product Strategy and Operations, and will have responsibility for the following:
Responsibilities
- Strategic analysis and insights into our market opportunities within existing and potential new markets.
- Propose disruptive product and technical strategies to solve our customer problems in unique ways and return disproportionate value to our business.
- Support the executive team and board of directors with insights and summaries of our plans.
- Work with our Research and Insights team to conduct qualitative and quantitative research with customers, account execs, partners and sales leadership to understand customer needs, perceived value of new product concepts, competitive alternatives, buying behavior and likelihood to buy.
- Research competitive products and business strategies to determine how we drive unique value and sustainable market advantages.
- Build financial models to forecast potential revenue and other success metrics for new businesses.
- Support our Long Range Planning for products to define investment focus and set the course for long-term revenue growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in strategy consulting or product management/marketing/strategy at a high tech company, ideally a large enterprise software company.
- Ability and desire to dig into new technologies and develop disruptive strategies that drive growth and differentiation.
- Super quick study who can apply lessons from different industries and products to the situation at hand.
- Market research, both qualitative and quantitative. Experience running projects and conducting customer interviews.
- Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across Salesforce to drive results.
- Hands-on financial analysis and modeling, adept with reporting tools and Excel in all its glory.
- MBA a plus (but we also love brilliant people who didn't go to business school).

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $166,900 to $266,300. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $183,600 to $290,500. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
