Electrical Assembly Technician

We are currently searching for a reliable and motivated individual to join our Electrical Group for a 1st shift Electrical Assembly position (6:00am 2:30pm, Monday Friday). We are seeking a skilled tradesman with experience in electrical assembly, panel building, or electrical wiring preferably from an industrial manufacturing setting. Technical School degree or High School Diploma (GED) plus relevant work experience. 5 - 7 years of electrical wiring of industrial equipment control circuits or industrial maintenance experience. Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical ladder drawings and schematics, equipment specifications, and OEM instruction manuals. Working knowledge of industrial electrical codes such as NFPA 79 and familiarity of NFPA 70 and UL508A. Ability to use basic testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters and megohmmeters. 2 years of experience in 480 Volt Motor Control Systems. Ability to occasionally work from heights above floor on ladders, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Ability to use basic portable hand power and pneumatic tools, plus measuring devices and stationary shop equipment such as a drill press. Possess basic metal fabrication skills such as cutting, drilling, tapping, countersinking, deburring, grinding, and measuring. Welding experience a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, plus work in a standing position for most of the day. Previous experience in proper use of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, high lifts, and bridge cranes. What your day would be like: Electrical assembly and wiring of control cabinets, sub-panels and other equipment parts. Layout, cutout, and fabrication of electrical enclosures, assemblies and control panels. Installation and wiring of motors, valves, switches, pneumatically operated components, and other electro-mechanical equipment. Installation of field wiring and conduit (flex, EMT and rigid) including planning the layout, bending, and fit-up. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Work efficiently and safely while ensuring company quality standards are maintained and following safety protocols. Perform other related duties as assigned.
