We are currently looking for a patent attorney (associate, partner track) with a solid technical background in life sciences. This highly regarded IP group has been steadily growing as they continue to attract sophisticated work from an impressive roster of clients. Just as important, this is a very team-oriented, friendly, and cooperative environment wherein talent is matched with opportunity and associates are entrusted with substantial client interaction.
As a member of this team, you will be able to fully utilize your technical background, as there is an abundance of challenging and life sciences work. The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents for domestic and foreign clients while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence; litigation support; Patent Trial and Appeal Board issues).
Patent Attorney Requirements:
- Minimum M.S. in organic chemistry or biochemistry, with a preference for a Ph.D.
- State bar and USPTO bar.
- Must have at least 2 years of full-time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills suitable for substantial client interaction.
Of Counsel or Partner:
If you have a portable book that makes you partially or fully self-sustaining, this could be an outstanding platform within which to integrate your existing portfolio of clients.
