Job Title: Operational Buyer Indirect III Job Location: Houston, TX Job Duration: 12 months of contract on W2 Pay rate : $20.64-$34.40/hour on W2 Job Summary: The Category Buyer is responsible for Capex Process Equipment procurement activities for USA sites of approximately $10m to $500m. The Category Buyer is responsible for all assigned procurement activities related to processing equipment for projects across North America. This role supports strategic growth and investments, delivering new manufacturing capacity. Job Responsibilities: Support category strategy for Process & Clean Utilities Equipment in alignment with business needs across the Americas, ensuring supply market capabilities are met. Manage supplier relationships, driving supplier performance, compliance, and accountability through scorecards, performance metrics, and supplier development initiatives. Develop and implement supply risk management strategies, including mitigation plans, to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain. Collaborate with Project Procurement Execution teams to translate category strategies into project execution plans and ensure alignment across stakeholders. Lead negotiations for assigned Capex projects, ensuring sourcing objectives align with global procurement, engineering, and project team priorities. Oversee procurement activities for investment projects, including machinery sourcing, strategy development, cost-reduction initiatives, and reporting on project savings.
