Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and prepare legal documents related to their cases
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice after each hearing
• Manage court appearances, trials, and draft legal motions
• Interview witnesses and perform thorough legal research
• Analyze case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents and provide case evaluations
• Gather and analyze evidence to support the client's defense or challenge prosecution's charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and develop case strategies by gathering relevant information from witnesses and experts
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring cases progress efficiently

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense
• Experience managing complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
