The Role

Fidelity’s ambition is to continue to attract the customers of the future. Talent Acquisition (TA) focuses on hiring the associates of the future across the rich diversity of roles and functions that enable our businesses to support customers, develop new and exciting products, and evolve our operating model.

TA has sustained historic hiring volumes for several years. Unyielding competition for top talent remains; global political and economic conditions fluctuate daily; and the pandemic’s long shadow has transformed expectations about how and where work happens.

The Head of Talent Acquisition leads a team of dedicated associates focused on shaping the future of Fidelity by attracting, cultivating, and placing the people who will build it. With a focus on the candidate and associate experience (interns through executive levels, contingent and full-time), commitment for seen and unseen diversity and inclusion, and a strong operations mindset, you will have broad impact on the overall success of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Proven track record of leading organizations and people through operating models that will help drive scale, broaden impact, and grow skills consistently.
  • A passionate leader committed to bringing an integrated approach to diverse hiring as demonstrated by seen and unseen diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Results driven leader focused on process improvement while adapting and expanding to new channels and candidate expectations in a competitive landscape with efficiency and consistency.
  • A seasoned talent acquisition leader with expertise in building out an enterprise-wide executive recruiting talent strategy bringing a level of discipline and structure to senior level hiring.
  • Strategic thinker that can manage existing recruiting strategies, methods, and systems to generate a proactive and efficient approach to internal and external sourcing, assessing, and managing qualified talent.
  • Data expertise and curiosity to direct the analytics and insights team, collaborate to foster data-driven strategies and pinpoint opportunities through analysis of historical data and future trend projections.
  • Effective partner with both business and HR leaders to understand and forecast talent acquisition needs and prepare the TA organization to exceed demands and service.
  • Proven track record of successful attracting and hiring talent at all career stages (college hiring, entry-level, mid-career, and executive roles) and both passive and active candidates/associates.
  • Deep understanding and experience helping organizations build technology recruiting functions that compete and win in this rapidly evolving market.
  • Evaluate Employer Brand and overall marketing efforts to understand perception and consideration of Fidelity as an employer of choice. Track competitors, overall talent trends and market dynamics, offering strategic insights and market intelligence to senior leadership.

Value You Deliver:

  • Be a Talent Champion. Bring your people management and leadership experience, build a bench and attract, develop, and retain a high-performing, diverse team. Balance opportunities that maximize team engagement, contribution, and sense of belonging. Highly skilled at delivering impactful and actionable feedback. Leverage opportunities to connect people across the firm.
  • Be a catalyst. Build a workplace environment that embraces experimentation with new tools and processes, fostering a cultural mindset that's open to change and continuous improvement.
  • Help Strategically Focus. Operate in the now but think, plan, and act with a focus on the long-view, sustainability, extraordinary outcomes, and scaling the function.
  • Inspire Leadership. Ability to effectively communicate a vision that inspires people across the organization. Highly respected, trusted, relatable and empathetic leader who most people aspire to be like as they build their leadership.

The Team:

Talent Acquisition is part of the Enterprise Human Resources business unit and has broad reach into every Fidelity business unit with incredibly strong partnership.
