POLICY DIRECTOR, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine

The Policy Director would be responsible for conducting research and analysis on policy issues, drafting and reviewing policy documents, coordinating and collaborating with other government agencies, and providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Scholarly literature review and report preparation: Responsibilities will include the design, oversight, and execution of health services literature review and preparing memos, reports, manuscripts, and conference presentations.
- Policy Analysis Summary: Includes summarizing policy relevant information and stakeholder engagement to contribute to research translation. The position will monitor ongoing VA HSR research activities to determine what subjects to cover in CIDER publications. Responsibilities will include synthesis and summarizing of research and evaluation projects that are VA policy relevant; preparation of memos, reports, manuscripts, and conference and meeting presentations; maintenance of client communication and management.
- Communications planning for dissemination projects: The position will provide expert policy dissemination services, including project management, for special information dissemination and writing projects within CIDER. Responsibilities will include project management, formatting and proof-reading dissemination materials, and communicating among partners, recording decisions and findings, drafting reports and presentations.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required with 8+ years of experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
