Job Overview
The Multi-Unit Retail Store Manager is responsible for organizing and driving daily operations across multiple locations, including managing staff, ensuring excellent service, and maintaining operational standards. You will oversee the Ferry Building and Cow Hollow locations, as well as a new cafe opening in the Financial District.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned cafes.
- Schedule shifts for baristas and monitor daily expenses and revenues.
- Maintain inventory control and present sales reports.
- Order supplies as needed and ensure all cafe areas are clean and organized.
People Management:
- Onboard and offboard baristas, and provide ongoing training.
- Guide barista performance through constructive feedback and performance management.
- Maintain employee records on performance and disciplinary actions.
- Create monthly schedules balancing team and business needs.
- Foster a positive team environment and maintain open communication.
- Ensure a hospitable environment and educate baristas about our mission, values, and coffee stories.
- Engage with customers, building relationships and community.
- Address customer issues effectively to deliver excellent service.
Administrative Duties:
- Attend scheduled management meetings and maintain communication with the market GM.
- Support payroll and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Assist with catering setup and coordination efforts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cafe or Store Manager in the retail/hospitality industry, preferably in coffee, food, or beverage sectors.
- Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines.
- Availability to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Experience leading a team of 15+ people.
- Understanding of profit and loss statements, with the ability to manage revenues, costs, and expenses.
- Proficiency in Google Drive tools (Sheets, Docs, Calendar).
- Passion for coffee and delivering exceptional customer service.
Compensation: $67,000-$75,000 per year
