We're in search of a Director of Strategic Capture to bolster our Citizen, Service, and Defense portfolio. In this role, you'll spearhead the management of the capture lifecycle, collaborating closely with solution strategists, designers, engineers, and account managers. Your mission? Facilitating knowledge exchange, igniting inspiration across teams, and ensuring seamless alignment with portfolio requirements. Contributions
- Manage the capture efforts in various stages for the CS&D Portfolio.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline.
- Develop opportunities through diligent and timely influencing of customers and by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter-company collaboration.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify customer objectives, priorities, and requirements and align company capabilities as an innovative industry leader.
- Develop and maintain strong industry relations with large and small businesses with significant presence in assigned markets.
- Conduct competitive analysis.
- Demonstrate solid business acumen in all capture pursuit decisions.
- Synthesize materials and construct meaningful stories to ground the design and technical solution in the client’s context.
- Lead and support operations in new business development efforts by providing expert information in pitch efforts and client meetings.
- Deliver strategy recommendations across numerous accounts including market opportunity, competitive landscape, and corporate capability alignment.
- Understanding of high-level overview of additional solution considerations, such as unique buyer purchase preferences and skills required to deploy/sell.
- Show grace under pressure and communicate effectively to unify team members while working against tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate analytical, reasoning, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- A high level of self-motivation and a self-starter to accomplish tasks independently while following up with team members to ensure all critical tasks are completed.
- Demonstrated history of successfully leading sales opportunities from identification to award.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, or related discipline.
- Must have 5 years of experience with federal proposals and understand complex RFQ/RFP compliance requirements.
- Must have Government contracting experience.
- Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.
- Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behavior in the market.
- Experience supporting sales/business development teams in client facing meetings, presentations, and written responses for government procurements.
- Experience in problem solving directly with clients and their stakeholders.
- Experience working in a team, but also being able to prioritize and self-manage.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be local to DMV area.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
