Long term thinking and decision making, along with customer obsession, has been in Amazon’s DNA from the very beginning. Customer Forecasting & Valuation owns the primary decision metrics at Amazon, leveraging causal machine-learning models to predict the long-term impact of customer actions and business decisions. These metrics inform an exponentially increasing number of decision makers daily.

A Senior PMT owns the vision and manage the lifecycle of GCCP product for variable and fixed marketing optimization and measurement (Marketing GCCP) worldwide. In this role, the product manager’s first responsibility is to be Amazon’s domain expert and the driver of cross-company projects related to enhancing GCCP and the product integrations with marketing systems to enable decisions maximizing long-term free cash flow (LTFCF). GCCP is a critical metric for Amazon, used to inform the optimization and measurement of billions in marketing spend across the company.

You will work very closely with senior business and marketing leaders in defining the problem, influence senior and principal technologists to identify the right problems to solve and set a multi-year product vision for direction for a team of talented ML scientists, software development engineers, and data engineers. You will have to strategically balance between serving expanding customer needs and building high performance and sustainable software solutions. You will trade off between serving machine optimization and high-judgment human-driven decisions. In this role, you will be a leader working directly with senior L8+ leaders, establishing new mental models with business executives, guiding end-to-end development from customer requirements through research, development, and operating a WW portfolio of model outputs.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager Technical, you’ll:

  1. Define long-term strategy by proactively identifying emerging customer needs and looking around corners for business impact opportunities.
  2. Set multi-year vision and strategy, inspiring annual plans for a team to execute.
  3. Be the customer voice; always work backwards from customers to guide roadmap prioritization decisions.
  4. Guide project, science and engineering managers with trade-offs between customer benefit and complexity.
  5. Own regular business reviews with senior leaders/executives WW.
  6. Drive strategic alignment with senior leaders using data and insights through decision narratives, usage guidance and investment proposals.
  7. Evangelize through training, white papers, and presentations to executives.

Minimum Qualifications

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience with end to end product delivery.
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight.
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
