Job Details
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with a passion for business law and a proven track record in commercial litigation. You will be responsible for handling complex litigation matters and representing a wide range of clients including private businesses, financial institutions, credit committees, D&O insurance carriers, real estate developers, and landlords. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
1. Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters including breach of contract, business torts, and other commercial disputes.
2. Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from initiation to resolution, including trial, arbitration, and settlement.
3. Conduct comprehensive discovery, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
4. Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
5. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
6. Provide proactive legal advice and counsel to clients on a range of business issues.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting clients and the legal profession.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and strategic advice.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
4. Proven trial experience, with a strong record of successful outcomes.
5. Extensive experience in discovery, deposition, and motion practice.
6. Experience in drafting briefs and other complex litigation documents.
7. Demonstrated ability to represent a diverse range of clients, including private businesses, financial institutions, credit committees, D&O insurance carriers, real estate developers, and landlords.
8. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
11. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
12. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
13. Willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.
