About the Role:
As Mill’s Head of Supply Chain you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution and management of our global supply chain operations. Business critical responsibilities include ensuring Mill’s hardware supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with our business objectives. Experience with strategic supply chain business relationships and team management are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop supply chain strategies to ensure cost effective and efficient supply chain performance
- Scale supply chain partners and internal teams from startup volumes to mass production
- Negotiate supply chain business relationships including pricing and contracts
- Continue improvement of supply chain productivity and efficiencies to reduce costs while securing high quality material for our manufacturing partners
- Manage Mill’s supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring supplier performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Work with Mill’s cross-functional teams and supply chain to achieve business and production schedule goals
- Lead supplier evaluation and selection process for new products and during product development phase
- Manage forecast and supply of critical suppliers to ensure supply chain flexibility and minimize risks
- Monitor supply chain performance to ensure delivery schedule cost targets are consistently met or exceeded
- Manage and develop new suppliers to maintain industry leading quality, delivery and cost
- Drive and deliver strategic business initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- BS/BA/BE degree with supply chain or equivalent commodity management experience; MBA a plus but not required
- 10+ years work experience in Supply Chain or related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience and successes building and scaling supply chains from start up phase to mass production volumes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- End to end ownership and demonstrated creativity with complex contract negotiations from start up costs to multi-million dollar procurement agreements
- Superb interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance short-term execution needs with long-term strategic goals
- Exceptional ability to problem solve, develop creative solutions, and demonstrate resourcefulness, while maintaining acute attention to detail
- Outstanding leadership skills, with a track record of recruiting, developing and motivating talent
The estimated base salary range for this position is $177k to $212k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
