You’ll be responsible for laying the technical foundation of the company, leading engineering efforts from 0 to 1, and driving infrastructure and data strategy. This is a rare opportunity for a mission-driven builder to join at the ground floor and shape both the technology and culture of a fast-moving company.
Role responsibilities:
- Build the foundation platform, focusing on scalability, security, and fast deployments.
- Lead architecture decisions around data infrastructure, APIs, and integrations with media and AI platforms.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept, design, deployment, and iteration.
- Hire and mentor top-tier engineers who align with our mission and culture.
- Collaborate closely with the co-founders to define technical strategy and roadmap.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Continuously improve deployment processes to ensure fast, efficient rollouts.
- Be hands-on with code and architecture, but also effective in managing and scaling teams as the company grows.
Candidate requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience engineering in high-growth, VC-backed seed-series A startups.
- Has previously built and scaled a product from scratch.
- Strong skills in infrastructure, cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure), APIs, and deployment pipelines.
- Expertise in agile development and ability to build a strong engineering culture.
- Capable of hiring, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing engineering team.
- Able to work hybrid with the team in San Francisco.
