We are looking for?

Product managers who bring exceptional creative, analytical, and infrastructure skills to build, drive forward, and scale best-in-class products. Product management at Woven by Toyota leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company's vision for reinventing transportation. We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast-paced company and industry.

The Autonomy Team is part of the Autonomous software group and the team's mission is to build next generation ADAS software for fully electric Toyota vehicles. As a Product manager (PM) for this team, you will be responsible for understanding the expected deliverables from the Autonomy team and coming up with an audacious and inspiring but realistic vision for the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Define top level product architecture and capabilities by synthesizing input from customer teams, competitive benchmarking data, and other internal/external engineering teams.
  • Own and drive the end to end execution of the product through technical engagements (Architecture design, reviews, etc.) both internally and externally.
  • Define, analyze and track key performance metrics for the Autonomy platform.
  • Partner with the functional leaders across Product, Hardware, Software, Safety, Integration, Operations, as well as the OEMs to support their efforts in launching a successful product.
  • Support setting the short-, mid- and long-term technical roadmap for the team in collaboration with the technical leads and the leadership team.
  • Understand our strategic and competitive position. Set your team's goals, success metrics and roadmap to align with Woven by Toyota's mission and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, user research and partnering with other teams.
  • Ability to set direction for Engineering teams: In-depth knowledge of modern software development and machine learning engineering practices.
  • Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions clearly across a wide spectrum of audiences from internal customers to executives. Ability to build healthy relationships with PM peers and engineering counterparts across a culturally and geographically diverse organization.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Background in autonomous vehicles, Driver Assist technology, and/or machine learning.
  • Solid fundamentals with knowledge of machine learning / deep learning algorithms, ML development workflow and algorithm design.
  • Ruthless prioritization: Ability to help identify areas of large opportunities for model performance improvement, and guide the team to focus on the activities that will drive the largest lift to targeted metrics.
  • 7+ years of product management, technical product design or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of proven success leading highly-technical products (data science, machine learning, computer vision, or robotics).
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment and collaboration across teams and disciplines split across various locations.
  • Strong communication skills: an ability to explain the mechanisms, implications, and consequences of technology choices. Skills to connect engineering, business, and other diverse sets of stakeholders to common purposes.

Salary: $140,000- $230,000 a year. Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The California pay scale for this full-time position is $140,000- $230,000. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
