The Head of Wealth Management (WM) Digital Business Capabilities is a member of the leadership team for the WM Digital Client & Partner Experience. This position’s objective is ensuring teams in its product group get the support they need from the Enterprise in order to succeed in support of key strategic business initiatives for Wealth Management. Responsible for growing existing and newly forming business capabilities teams that dramatically raise the maturity of our digital products. A key part of the role is to build strong relationships with Enterprise stakeholders inside and outside of DCPX and to align our capability teams towards our Wealth Management strategic priorities. This role requires deeply understanding Wealth Management's business strategy and translating it clearly for the group’s teams without micromanaging. Provides leadership and direction through other product managers. Is accountable for the overall progress and results of business capabilities which include trust/advisory, investments, sales, banking, Goals Driven Wealth Management, and business operations.

Major duties:

  • Ensure teams in its product group get the support they need from the Enterprise in order to succeed in support of key strategic business initiatives for Wealth Management.
  • Deeply understand how the visions and roadmaps of the teams in your group will affect the broader Wealth Management business and vice versa.
  • Identify cross capability dependencies and ensure that teams are working towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Build lasting relationships with key Wealth Management executive stakeholders. Influence enterprise decision makers and manage enterprise stakeholders in order to achieve group objectives.
  • Say No wisely to Wealth Management stakeholders so that new strategically important priorities are only introduced by radically deprioritizing existing work, with all its attendant costs. Coordinate and collaborate with other Group Product Managers to make decisions about which strategic projects to take on from the broader WM business.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding how all of the Wealth Management practices are evolving.
  • Decide in conjunction with business stakeholders the relative priority of strategic business and risk-related initiatives.

  • Wisely adjudicate conflicts between your group teams when requesting additional resources from Wealth management or prioritizing conflicting team needs.
  • Enable and reinforce adoption of common ways of working.
  • Hold Capability / Experience Leads in your group accountable for competitive positioning and maturity assessments.
  • Drive the adoption and updating of real-time execution dashboard.
  • Ensure integrated roadmaps are created and maintained.
  • Maintain a pulse on our vendors’ innovations relevant to your group.
  • Ensure meetings are as minimal and efficient as necessary to achieve effective collaboration.
  • Drive the adoption of new DCPX-wide tools and processes that significantly improve performance.
  • Demonstrate reasonable understanding of underlying technical solutions, tech architecture, and business architecture development.
  • Risk and compliance optimization.

Experience:

  • Product Management expertise (15+ years).
  • Experience in senior leadership positions in digital product delivery or product management.
  • Experience within the wealth management industry and other financial services is preferred.
  • Extensive depth of subject matter expertise and product management in the following areas:
    • Trust and Advisory
    • Investments
    • Goals Driven Wealth Management
    • Banking
    • Sales
    • Business Operations
