Apple has an extraordinary opportunity for a senior level design or product engineer to drive and lead technical engagements between Apple and silicon and IP suppliers working on groundbreaking technologies. We seek individuals with significant experience with all phases of silicon development spanning micro-architecture specification, pre-silicon activities (e.g. simulation, emulation, and verification), post-silicon activities (e.g. bring-up, validation, characterization, and qualification), and implementations. You will also have knowledge of digital, analog and memory technology product development and productization tasks required for high volume manufacturing, including characterization, validation, qualification, and statistical analysis.

Description

  1. Drive technical exchanges and direction with appropriate supplier teams (such as Architecture, Hardware Design, Software Design and Implementation, Product and Test, and Reliability Engineering).
  2. Lead hardware and software verification, validation, and qualification activities between Apple internal teams and suppliers, and will be responsible to oversee these various joint efforts and ensure that they complete on schedule.
  3. Filter and distill critical data from both internal and external technical and business partners into relevant information targeted to the audience needed to make data driven decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
  2. 20 years relevant experience.
  3. Proven experience in digital and mixed-signal integrated circuit design and design automation tools.

  1. Demonstrated experience in digital, mixed-signal, analog, or memory integrated circuit design, fab, package, product, test, applications, or reliability engineering leadership.
  2. Strong communication and program management skills are required.
  3. Comfortable with dynamic schedule driven development, crisis management, and directing multi-functional debug efforts.
  4. Excellent verbal and written social skills.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $358,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
