Role Summary:

The Lead Test Manager is responsible for directing the execution of all testing activities to ensure the technical solutions support user requirements and system performance parameters. This role involves coordinating and executing test events with multiple internal and external stakeholders, maintaining testing tools, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across all test phases. The Lead Test Manager will also develop and implement test strategies, scenarios, and procedures to support agile SELC or equivalent lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Management: Direct the execution of all testing activities to ensure technical solutions support user requirements and system performance parameters.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate and execute test events with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lifecycle Process: Ensure alignment with agile SELC or equivalent lifecycle processes, including Independent Validation and Verification, Performance Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Automated Testing.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain testing tools for manual, regression, and automated testing activities.
  • Test Strategy Development: Develop the test strategy, testing scenarios, manual and automated test cases, and test procedures.
  • Test Execution and Reporting: Perform requirements analysis reviews, certify products, assess software readiness, identify and track defects, and provide daily test summary reports.
  • Automation: Maximize test automation and develop automated test scenarios and scripts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: Over 10 years of relevant test experience in testing large-scale information technology and database systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in testing tools and simulators to mirror operational environments, and the development and execution of automated test scenarios and scripts.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, JAVA, GO, Python, Ruby, C#, and PL/SQL.
  • Clearance: DHS Suitability, if required.

Preferred:

  • Certifications: Agile certifications in SCRUM, Kanban, and SAFe preferred.
  • DevSecOps Experience: Experience in coordinating and executing test events within a DevSecOps framework.
  • Test Automation Tools: Proficiency with test automation tools and methodologies.
  • Performance Testing: Skilled in performance testing, including test plan creation, test scenario creation, and performance data analysis.
  • Security Testing: Experience with security certification testing and accreditation.
  • Advanced Degrees: A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Leadership Roles: Proven track record in leadership roles within test management for large-scale IT projects.
  • Strategic Development: Experience in developing and implementing test strategies and plans.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency with tools like ServiceNow (SNOW), JIRA, and other project management and tracking systems.
  • Cross-Functional Teams: Ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and integration of activities across various domains.

Location:

This opportunity is remote with the expectation to attend meetings in the Metropolitan Washington, DC areas as required, but no less frequently than monthly.
