Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support for product lines, including troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct process qualifications on manufacturing machines and prepare validation protocols.
  • Perform engineering studies using statistical analysis tools and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement Lean Six Sigma principles to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions, engineering change orders, and process optimization projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC, 5S, SPC, Process Capabilities, Takt rate, OEE, and Kaizen events.
  • Proficiency in documenting and writing SOPs, Work Instructions, and training materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct statistical analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using software tools such as SolidWorks, MS Project, Minitab, AutoCAD, Smartsheet, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving significant cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Experience in conducting time studies and implementing lean manufacturing techniques.
