Summary/Objective The Regional Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current customers. The RAM will also be responsible for prospecting and closing sales leads to help generate revenue for Viking Engineering. They will be required to provide input on sales strategies within their current territory as well as Viking's overall corporate sales strategies. They will grow our customer sales base and help achieve budgeted revenues and margins and assist the Service Department on machine installs and service-related visits when required. Sales personnel are also responsible for studying and understanding Viking Engineering products, competitive equipment, industry needs/requirements and assisting in developing territory forecasts. Sales is also responsible for data entry into CRM, generating requested reports when needed, arranging their travel schedule to include attending various trade shows, and filing timely expense reports.Primary ResponsibilitiesUse best efforts to sell the company's products in the defined territory through direct customer contact, trade shows, advertising, campaigns, generating customer quotes and other similar activitiesVisit and solicit current and prospective customers in the territoryConducts follow-up calls to all customer contacts to make sure they are satisfied with all agreements reached during the sales approachDevelop strategic plans for sales opportunities with new and existing customersDevelop and maintain good business relationships with new and existing customersImplement strategies to expand company's customer baseAchieve budgeted revenues and marginsGenerate and present sales forecasts for territoryAssist the Company in investigating and resolving customer product complaintsPartner with Field Service and other departments to ensure the highest level of customer serviceWork diligently with other internal stakeholders to increase sales and market shareTravel to customer sites to assist Service Techs with installs of machines when necessary.
