Open Automation Solutions Delivery Support Lead

What will you do?
Serves as a company Technical Domain Expert within the assigned Global Geographic locations for Open Automation Solutions (OAS), primarily EcoStruxure Automation Expert based solutions. Ensures the successful delivery of Open Automation proposals & projects via direct engagement with Global / Regional Sales and Delivery teams, OAS Pre-Sales, OAS Delivery, R&D and Centers of Excellence. Empower Regional Pre-Sales & Global Delivery with best practices, templates and productivity tools. Directly accountable for Projects delivered within their assigned Geographies.
This position is expected to contribute to the business through the achievement of Open Automations growth targets via delivery of successful, innovative and quality Open Automation projects.
Specific contribution includes:
- Technical Authority for assigned OAS proposals and projects
- Technical Authority for OAS across PA
- Participate in Customer physical/virtual meetings within their assigned Geographies (when required)
- Provide visibility to regional updates in Open Automation opportunities and challenges
- Driving Engineering Excellence and Consistency
- Define OAS requirements to support development of Training, Tools and Standards by Global Engineering and Services (GES)
- Define enhancements to ensure Development, deployment and adherence to tools and processes meets OAS requirements
- Undertake technical solution designs and reviews
- Participates and contributes to pre-sales and opportunity bid activities
- Conduit / link into the PA Offer group, Incubator, R&D and other SE Business Units
- Engineering capability and capacity management
- Technical Risk Master to identify, manage, and mitigate. (Note: This is to drive better understanding / management and not to drive risk averse /avoidance behavior)
- Active role in knowledge management and sharing across the domain and wider team
Who will you report to? Open Automation Solutions Leader
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- A recognized Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Process Control is desirable
- 8 + years experience with automation systems projects execution and delivery
- 4 + years’ experience with Distributed Control Systems like Foxboro in technical proposal support or Execution Context
- 2 + years’ experience with PLCs like Modicon and AVEVA System Components in technical proposal support or Execution Context
- Very good experience and knowledge of industry and industry standards
- Familiar with the products and services within the Oil & Gas, Power Generation & Chemical domains.
- Ability to master new domain experience in new industries and new technologies.
- Ability to develop solutions and build system architectures.
- Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and execution plans.
- Team player with good leadership and communication skills
- Experience with HMI Software, Historization Software and Alarm Management Solutions
- Strong analytical & logical ability, possessing good judgment, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, forward looking and with demonstrated experience leading multi-team projects.
Innovative and dynamic with effective communication skills, especially in inter-cultural aspects
