A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a skilled Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage various aspects of insurance litigation cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Propose and develop litigation strategies tailored to each case.
2. Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
3. Draft comprehensive reports, pleadings, discovery documents, and motions.
4. Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and effective questioning.
5. Argue motions confidently and persuasively in court.
6. Participate in mediations and trials, contributing to favorable outcomes for clients.
7. Conduct legal research to support case development and provide accurate legal advice.
8. Maintain detailed case files and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and organized.
9. Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure cohesive case management.
10. Stay updated on changes in insurance law and regulations to provide informed legal representation.

Requirements:

1. Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in California.
2. Additional admissions in other states are a plus.
3. 3-6 years of experience in litigation, with a strong emphasis on insurance litigation.
4. 3+ years of California practice experience.
5. Proven ability to propose effective litigation strategies.
6. Experience in drafting and filing legal documents, including reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
7. Skilled in taking and defending depositions, as well as arguing motions in court.
8. Familiarity with mediations and trial proceedings.
