Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for a Director, Product Management who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end system development cycle to meet both time-to-market and quality goals. This position will lead product roadmap and strategies to align with corporate objectives and develop potential business needs by grooming and implementing marketing plans, engaging deeply in product promotion, and handling sales configurations and orders. This role will advocate customer satisfaction beyond the sales of Supermicro server solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Directly manage 7-10 members and lead cross-functional teams to deliver the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization, product specification, implementation review, and release.
  2. Emphasize communication skills and documentation to build scalable processes for long-term team growth.
  3. Collaborate closely with engineering, validation, production, procurement, marketing, and sales teams on the development and release of products. Optimize resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
  4. Understand business and technical tradeoffs, manage risk, and escalate issues to the VP level when necessary.
  5. Engage with existing or new partners to grow and expand business revenue and vision.
  6. Support sales teams in both technical fields of server system practices and order fulfillment.
  7. Develop effective training materials and roadmaps to present to internal sales or to the VP level, as well as externally to potential customers.
  8. Understand rack scale, liquid cooling as future trends, and data center infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management.
  2. Minimum 15 years of overall experience in a relevant field.
  3. 5+ years of proven team building experience.
  4. 5+ years of hands-on experience in server, IoT, rack, or data center related fields.
  5. 7+ years of product management experience.
  6. Experience in business development and forecast, demand, and fulfillment systems.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  8. Willingness to travel 10% of the time between branch offices and roadshow events.

Salary Range: $220,000 - $250,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
