Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of two years as a staff therapist required, with experience in pediatric and adult care. Must have experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or similar size hospital. Prior traveler experience is highly preferred. License: Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Wisconsin required. Certifications: - RRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. - BLS certification through the American Heart Association required. - NRP or PALS, certified through the American Heart Association, required. Must-Have: Applicant's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the assigned primary worksite location. Facility requires floating; travelers will be the first to float, with shifts potentially scheduled in multiple units. Job Description: - Help patients breathe easier in a leading healthcare facility. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. - Provide aerosolized medication, volume expansion, airway clearance techniques, tracheostomy care, and sputum inductions to patients. - Work with non-invasive ventilation, high-flow, and mechanical ventilation in IMC and ICU settings. - Collaborate with physicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, other caregiving disciplines, and patients/families to develop, implement, and evaluate a care plan for each patient. - Participate in a week-long orientation but follow the department-specific schedule provided in the welcome letter. Please note that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required, depending on the unit's rules.
