Job Title: Surgical Technologist Job Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Operating Room Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 8x4 - 07AM - 03PM - 32 Hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Ortho/Neuro OR License: Required for submission Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), ND UAP Must-Have: - 1 year of Ortho/Neuro OR experience - Proficient in orthopedic and neurological procedures, including total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar fusions, micro discs, cranial procedures, and non-awake large neuro cases Job Description: - Work in a unit with 12 Operating Rooms, 1 Endoscopy Suite, and 1 Cysto Suite. - Handle an average of 25-30 cases per day. - Collaborate with a Charge Nurse available for all shifts and a manager available until 4 PM on weekdays. - Participate in rotating 8-hour shifts with varying start times. - Meet weeknight call requirements 1-2 times per week and weekend call requirements based on staffing. - Rotate holiday calls with permanent staff. - Maintain a 15-minute call response time; a sleep room is available. - Exhibit flexibility to float to other specialty cases if needed or serve as a 1:1 sitter. - Engage in a department with a family-like atmosphere, wearing provided scrub colors. - Adhere to scheduling that includes occasional evening or weekend shifts as stipulated. - Utilize the EPIC charting system in a Level 2 Trauma Care Setting. - Be prepared to rotate through holidays and work approximately every 4th to 5th weekend for call coverage. - Allotted time for orientation is 12 hours. - Must agree to the Radius Rule prohibiting full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with specific affiliated facilities. - Submit any requested time off up front (limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract); additional requests will not be approved after submission.
