This role involves traveling to various healthcare facilities to support patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses, helping improve their mobility and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans created by the physical therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility, and functionality. Therapeutic Exercises: Guide patients through exercises, stretches, and therapy techniques to improve physical health, endurance, and coordination. Treatment Administration: Perform treatments such as massages, therapeutic ultrasounds, electrical stimulation, or hot/cold therapy under the direction of a physical therapist. Monitor Progress: Track patient progress by documenting changes in mobility, strength, and pain levels, and report back to the supervising physical therapist for plan adjustments. Patient Education: Instruct patients and their families on home exercises and proper use of therapy equipment to continue recovery outside of scheduled sessions. Maintain Equipment: Ensure therapy equipment is clean, properly maintained, and functioning efficiently at various healthcare facilities. Record Keeping: Accurately document patient treatments, exercises performed, and progress notes for each session in compliance with facility protocols. Travel Flexibility: Work in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehab centers, or nursing homes, depending on patient needs.
