Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist Job Specialty: Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist Job Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Variable - 8 hour shifts, days, evenings, or nights Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Board eligible by an accrediting agency with certification required within one year of employment Certifications: Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by a national accrediting agency, within one year of employment Must-Have: Completed COVID-19 vaccinations Job Description: - Perform laboratory tests and quality control procedures. - Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients. - Work independently and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants. - Experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology. - Utilize clinical laboratory instrumentation. - Function as a laboratory generalist. - Ensure accurate and timely test results.
