Travel Nurse RN - PCU in Boston, MA

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Stepdown Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day/Night Rotation), Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week Experience: 2 Years of Recent Acute Care Experience, with Surgical Stepdown Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center. Must have Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Stepdown Experience, Familiarity with Automated Medication Dispensing, and More than One Previous Travel Assignment. License: Current RN License Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Ability to Independently Read and Interpret Telemetry Rhythm Strips. Successful Completion of a Telemetry Test and Critical Care Medication Test on the First Day. Job Description: - Provide care for post-operative patients requiring intermediate care, transferred from Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). - Work with patients from cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant. - Manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:3 or 1:4; may extend to 1:4-5 if caring for medical-surgical patients. - Utilize skills in intermediate care unit/stepdown settings and automated medication dispensing. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care. - Maintain professionalism and demonstrate strong communication skills in high-pressure environments.
