TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Rockford, Illinois, 61108 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: GI Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour days Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in GI License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS recommended Must-Have: Experience with moderate sedation Job Description: - Prepare and assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and Bronchoscopy. - Administer and monitor patients receiving moderate sedation. - Utilize Olympus Scopes, video system, Pyxis medication system, and EPIC Electronic Health Record. - Demonstrate strong IV skills. - Exhibit organization, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. - Be a team player in a supportive work environment. - Work typically involves 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with scheduling determined by request. - Participate in rotating on-call duties for weeknights, weekends, and holiday coverage. - Work involves no floating to other units or departments. - Support inpatient and outpatient procedures with an average daily number of procedures around 12. - The unit has 4 procedure rooms and a 3-bed recovery area. - Adhere to dress code: Any color of scrubs. - Participate in a structured training and orientation program with a preceptor.
